Health Care Protest In 100 Mile House

100 Mile House will play host as the Hospital Employees Union has a rally planned for later today to protest the planned privatization of laundry services by Interior Health.

It’s not just about laundry jobs says Barb Matfin, Union Chair in town, who feels that the issue isn’t about Interior Health but the provincial government’s spending agendas

The proposed outsourcing of laundry jobs would see around 175 jobs cut throughout the Interior including 8 in the Cariboo

The rally will start at 3:115pm at M-L-A Donna Barnett’s office at the Pinkney Complex.

**Update**

The rally was held with a good turnout.
