The Quesnel Community Foundation’s annual gala is coming up

Saturday, October 24 at 5:30 p.m.
That’s when the Quesnel Community Foundation’s annual gala will take place at the seniors centre.
Gala Chair Bruce Broughton says it will be a lot of fun.
“We’re having our ‘all that jazz gala’ and it’s going to be a scene from the 1920’s. It’s going to be a lot of fun, we do fund raising.”
Broughton says there will be prizes, raffles and auctions.
He says this is one of their big fundraisers for the year, adding that all of the proceeds will stay in the Quesnel area.
Broughton says the Quesnel Community Foundation has given out more than $500,000 in grants over the past couple of years.
Tickets for the gala are available online, or at the community foundation office, which is located in the community futures building on Vaughan Street.
