Pizza Day on the way Monday May 4th on Country 840 in the South Cariboo

Once again Country 840 morning man Chris Adams will be rolling up sleeves to help raise some dough for a very good cause.

This Monday (May 4) he’ll be the point man when the “Pizza Day” fundraiser hits the airwaves at 6 am.

“We do two big fundraisers here at the station, one is our Turkey Day for the Food Bank, and this one is for the Peter Skene Ogden grad class for their Dry Grad and Prom.” Adams said, “I’m joined by some of the grads and local dignitaries reading and accepting pledges and every $15 constitutes a pizza pledge and our goal is 300. It’s always good to help out the kids and keep them all safe for their Dry Grad.”

Adams added that Pizza Day is a good fundraiser for what the students do with their Dry Grad.

“Which I’m happy to support because we didn’t have that when I was in High School and we did lose a few kids due to partying and accidents so this gives them somewhere safe to go and I’m happy to paly a part in that.”

Adams noted that both the Turkey Day and Pizza Day fundraiser are so much fun that the entire community looks forward to them and supporting them.

If you would like to pledge a pizza come Monday (May 4) phone lines will be open (250-395-3848) that morning at 6.
