RCMP Believe Shooting Suspect Could Be In Quesnel

RCMP are seeking the public’s help in locating a Quesnel man who is a suspect in a shooting incident in Prince George.

An arrest warrant has been issued for 31-year old Cody Lornsten.

He is facing charges that include Discharging a Firearm with Intent and Possession of a Firearm while Prohibited.

RCMP say they were called to Tamarack Street early last Sunday morning after receiving a report of shots fired.

They believe that two individuals exchanged gunfire outside a residence, one of which was originally thought to be a victim in the shooting.

A 20-year old Prince George man has been arrested and charged with Attempted Murder and police are now looking for Lornsten.

He lives in PG but is from Quesnel so police believe he may be in the North Cariboo.

Lornsten is described as a white male who is about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs around 170 pounds.

He has hazel eyes, short brown hair and a number of tatoos including by each eye, on his neck and each forearm.

Lornsten is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached so anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
