Chemo RV to Host First Responders Appreciation Event

Staff at Chemo RV in 150 Mile House are inviting the community to help them honor local first responders.

“What we’re doing is just thanking our first responders and their families for everything they did during the wildfires this summer,” says receptionist Shelby Cayen.

“We’re going to be making a large cash donation to the 150 Mile House Fire Department, the Williams Lake Fire Department, and the Canadian Red Cross.”

Cayen says that they will have food and refreshments at the event, as well as live music, raffles, and kids activities.

She adds that the event is for the entire community, and hopes that everyone can join them.

“We were setting up our first responder trailers at the 150 rink and we talked about a doing a barbeque once we got back. Then we decided to do a whole one for the whole community and have everyone come and thank them because it’s not just us that are thankful, it’s the whole community.”

The Appreciation Event starts Saturday, October 14 at 4pm.
