UPDATE:

Nazko Highway (Highway 59) remains closed, but repairs are underway.

Nazko First Nation provided an update on its social media page, saying that water is no longer running across the highway and that repair teams are waiting to install a drain culvert.

The First Nation says it hopes to have the highway open later this afternoon.

In the meantime, traffic control remains on site, and a detour is available via Blackwater Road.
