Over 15,000 Attend 91st Annual Williams Lake Stampede

It was a quiet Williams Lake Stampede for Cariboo competitors in the main events but some BC cowboys and cowgirls took home some money.

Gavin Derose, from Kamloops, earned more than $2,800 for a 2-3 split in the Bareback.

Mike Beers, also from Kamloops, and his partner won $1,643 dollars each for a four-way share of third in the Team Roping.

And Carman Pozzobon from Aldergrove was 8th in Ladies Barrel Racing for $925.

Kaitlyn Dorion, from Anahim Lake, won this year’s Wild Cowgirl Race while Darren Sulin captured the Mountain Race.

Unofficially, 15,379 people took in this year’s rodeo over the four days.
