A Fundraiser For Hope: Evening to Raise Funds for Families Fighting Cancer

An evening of hope is planned tonight to raise funds for those struggling with cancer in Williams Lake and area.

Co-organizer Corry Williams says this is the third fundraiser they have staged in five years to help families.

She says the theme this year is ‘Shine On’.

“We came across a John Lennon quote that said ‘We all shine on the stars, the moon, and the sun.’ We just took the shine on out of it and decided we would try to make it like a starry evening.”

Williams says some of the features of the event taking place at Elks Hall include hair donations and head shaves, with the proceeds from that going to 6-year-old Summer Singleton and her family.

She says anyone who was unable to purchase tickets to attend can contact her for further information or to make a donation at 250-267-6188 or at [email protected].
