Age Friendly Society Event Coming Up in 100 Mile House

The Age Friendly Society of the South Cariboo is set to hold a free event on Thursday in 100 Mile House.

Lea Smirfitt, Executive Director with the society says Roger Hollander, 100 Mile House Fire Rescue Fire Chief will be giving a presentation.

“He’s just going to talk about basically responses, first responders, and some things that people need to be aware of in order to be more conscious of fire safety.”

Smirfitt says along with the presentation, information will also be provided regarding the Northern Health Connections bus and Energy Conservation Assistance Program.

The event takes place on March.23rd at the Valley Room in 100 Mile House and anyone wishing to attend is asked to RSVP by email at [email protected] or by calling 250-791-6406.
