MLA for the Cariboo-Chilcotin Donna Barnett recently announced some BC Government gaming grants being received in 100 Mile House and area.

Natalie Sass, President of the Lone Butte, Horse Lake Community Association, talks about just some of the things they will be doing with their $10,000 grant.

“We use our gaming grants for our free events that we offer to the community. We do a Senior Luncheon, our Easter hunt party for kids, Lone Butte Rocks which is our big event in July, it will be July 15th this year.”

Sass says she is very thankful for these grants as without them, the association wouldn’t be able to host these community events.

The 100 Mile House & District Women’s Centre Society also received a grant worth $17,000.

Application information for community gaming grants is available online at the BC Government website.
