Keep On Boiling

Users of the 103 Mile Water System are being advised that the boil water notice issued by the Cariboo Regional District on October.19th is still in effect until further notice.

According to Interior Health, The Guidance Document for Determining Groundwater at Risk of Containing Pathogens (GARP-GUDI) determined 3 things. The septic systems are likely within 30 meter setback to both wells, there was inadequate well construction and flood proofing, and there are frequent positive microbiological sample results.

A public information meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November.8th at 7:30pm at the 108 Mile Community Hall and will feature a brief presentation from the CRD and IHA staff explaining the issues.

The end of the meeting will also feature an opportunity for the public to ask questions.
