Cariboo Rodeo Athletes Have Sights Set On CFR

A couple of Cariboo competitors are in line for a trip to the Canadian Finals Rodeo in Edmonton.

The top 12 in each of the major events qualify.

Kirsty White from 150 Mile is 2nd in the Ladies Barrel Racing with more than 27 thousand dollars in earnings so far this year.

And Virgil Poffenroth, from Riske Creek, is clinging to 12th in the Tie Down Roping with just under 12 thousand 700 dollars.

There are just a handful of rodeos left in the season, including a stop in Medicine Hat this weekend.
