Boat Theft in 100 Mile House

RCMP in 100 Mile House are on the lookout for boat that was recently stolen from a property in Lac La Hache.

CPL. Brian Lamb gives us a brief description of the vessel

“The boat that was stolen was a 2015 Smokercraft Model 172 XL, it’s a fishing boat that has a 115 horsepower mercury outboard motor attached and it was on a shorelander boat trailer at the time of the theft.”

Lamb says the theft happened sometime between 2am and 5am on July 9th and they are asking any witnesses that may have seen the boat or the vehicle that towed the boat away during that timeframe to please come forward.

Garbage truck fire gets put out quickly in Quesnel, one in hospital

A garbage truck caught on fire on Larch Avenue off Highway 97 in South Quesnel. The Quesnel Fire Chief says the driver of the truck was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation, but otherwise is okay.
