The Cariboo Fire Centre will be heading out to Fox Mountain to help reduce the risk of wildfire.
Fire Information Officer Emily Epp says they’ll be burning a few piles in part of an ongoing fuel management project.
“There maybe some smoke in the area over the next two weeks due to that fuel management burning of piles. However, if people see smoke and they’re concerned they should always call in and report a wildfire just to be sure.”
Epp says crews have working on the project for the last couple of years clearing out brush.
She says the burning does not affect recreational users.
