Williams Lake Golf and Tennis Club takes part in Golfathon for ALS

The Williams Lake Golf and Tennis Club is one of 37 golf courses across the Province participating today in the 11th Annual PGA Of BC Golfathon for ALS.

Since five this morning Director of Golf Tyler Brouilette and Morgan Day, Assistant Course Manager, began their quest to play as many holes as possible before the sun goes down, not only raise awareness and funds, but also on a personal level.

“We have a former member that currently does have ALS so it does hit home and a lot of members are close with that family. So we’re hoping that a lot of people jump on board for the event.”

So will Morgan and Brouilette be accepting any donations from golfers while they’re playing?

“I’m sure we can do that on the course but we also have registration forms in the pro-shop as well that people can fill out and donate in house, or you can go on the ALS website and actually donate online as well.”

Morgan says the most rounds of golf he played in a day was three when he was a junior and would walk the course with his playing partners.
