City of Quesnel’s casino revenue was down this past year

   Casino revenue is on the decline for the City of Quesnel.
   Director of Finance Kari Bolton confirms that the municipality receives 10 percent of net revenues from the Billy Barker Casino.
   She says the total amount for 2024 was $419,000.
   Bolton says that is down from almost 500 thousand in both 2023 and 2022,
   It peaked back in 2007 when the city’s cut was $692 thousand dollars.
   The casino opened back in January of 1997.
