100 Mile Resident Interrupts Break-In

A bit of a shock for a homeowner in 100 Mile House.

RCMP Sergeant Brian Lamb says they received a report yesterday [Monday] morning at around 8 a.m. of  a break and enter in progress at a residence on Lake Crest Road.

“The complainant reported hearing a noise and when they went to look what it was observed a male standing in the residence near the doorway.”

Lamb says a set of keys were stolen and it appears the male was looking to get into other outbuildings on the property.

“The male feld on food. Police attended and made extensive patrols in the area. It is believed that the male crossed the highway and walked through a large field.”

The male suspect is described as being slim, with black or brown hair, and he was wearing a dark coloured hoody.

Anyone with information is asked to call the 100 Mile House RCMP.
