Ruby Nicholas of Quesnel named runner up for top U-SPORTS honour

A Quesnel soccer player’s bid to become U-Sports women’s soccer player of the year has fallen short.

Ruby Nicholas of the Victoria Vikes was one of three runners-up for the national honour.

Ally Rowe of the Cape Breton Capers won Player of the Year.

Last week, Nicholas was named Canada West women’s soccer player of the year after tallying eight goals and 14 points.
