Wendy’s has officially opened in Williams Lake

Williams Lake residents will now be able to add to the list on where to go to eat.

Wendy’s Williams Lake officially opened yesterday morning, after holding a ribbon cutting event to welcome the community through it’s doors.

Co-Owner and Franchisee, Pat Bell says this moment has been a long time coming.

“This has been a 30 plus year project for me. We’ve had a number of miss-starts where we’ve tried to get into Williams Lake and it didn’t work out.” says Bell.

“Actually being here today, I kind of have to pinch myself. It’s hard to believe that it’s actually happened now.”

Bell added that the restaurant was meant to be open earlier, as the building was finished around three months ago.

He says it was due to a missing piece of equipment, that being the main circuit breaker for the entire building, which they later managed to source a used one.

Bell says the social media traction that the restaurant got was exceptional, and believes that it’ll be well received now that it’s open.
