The Northern Interior, which includes Quesnel, continues to have the highest death rate in the province when it comes to unregulated drug deaths and it's not that close.
The health service delivery area that covers Quesnel is no longer the worst in the province when it comes to unregulated drug deaths.
It is however, according to the BC Coroners Service, the second worst out of 16.
The BC Coroners Service has released the latest statistics for unregulated drug deaths and the death rate in the Northern Interior, which includes Quesnel, was at 57.2 per 100,000 people through April.
There were very few suspected unregulated drug deaths in the first two months of this year in the health service delivery that both Williams Lake and 100 Mile House are in.
