Officials at the British Columbia parliament building are investigating after a pro-Palestinian sign was attached to the front of the building overnight.

First Nations people living with substance-use challenges will soon benefit from a new Tŝilhqot’in-led healing and wellness model as the Province provides $8.3 million for recovery supports. This new project is a partnership between the Tŝilhqot’in National Government and Red Road Recovery. Construction is expected to begin in September 2025.

A man was struck by a truck on Highway 97, 40 kilometres south of Quesnel, when he was jumping into traffic. Quesnel RCMP say the man was airlifted to Vancouver General Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

The highway was closed for several hours but has since re-opened to single-lane alternating.
