A rescue operation is underway for three trapped workers at a mine in northwestern B.C.

The Forest Enhancement Society of BC (FESBC) approved up to $1.7 million to the Woodlot Product Development Council (Woodlots BC0 to carry out wildfire risk reduction treatments throughout the Province.

The Quesnel U17B Chaos Softball team won Bronze at this year's 2025 BC Softball Provincials in Kelowna. This is the first B Travel Team to come out of Quesnel for Softball.

Virgil Poffenroth is a back-to-back Champion in the Quesnel Rodeo, the Gold City Classic. Poffenroth won the Gold Buckle in Tie-Down Roping for the second year in a row. There were plenty of winners and close competition at this year's Gold City Classic.

Tanner Loring from Riske Creek continued his streak of strong rodeo performances in Quesnel. Loring took the Gold Buckle for winning in Junior Steer Wrestling at the Gold City Classic over Billy Barker Days. Before the Quesnel Rodeo, Loring placed second overall at the Calgary Stampede.

There was a significant turnout to all of the events held during the 49th Annual Billy Barker Days Festival in Quesnel.

This year the District of 100 Mile House is marking it's 60th Anniversary of Incorporation.

Quesnel's Trevor Adelman won the 2025 100 Lap Main WESCAR Race during Billy Barker days at the Goldpan Speedway. Adelman won the Main Race during Billy Barker Day's last year.
