Pacific Coastal Airlines announced on the morning of July 23, that it will be expanding its services to Quesnel. Pacific Coastal will be offering direct, non-stop flights to and from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to Quesnel Airport (YQZ), starting on October 30, 2025.

Tanner Loring from Riske Creek continued his streak of strong rodeo performances in Quesnel. Loring took the Gold Buckle for winning in Junior Steer Wrestling at the Gold City Classic over Billy Barker Days. Before the Quesnel Rodeo, Loring placed second overall at the Calgary Stampede.
Quesnel's Trevor Adelman won the 2025 100 Lap Main WESCAR Race during Billy Barker days at the Goldpan Speedway. Adelman won the Main Race during Billy Barker Day's last year.
