Virgil Poffenroth is a back-to-back Champion in the Quesnel Rodeo, the Gold City Classic. Poffenroth won the Gold Buckle in Tie-Down Roping for the second year in a row. There were plenty of winners and close competition at this year's Gold City Classic.

Quesnel's Trevor Adelman won the 2025 100 Lap Main WESCAR Race during Billy Barker days at the Goldpan Speedway. Adelman won the Main Race during Billy Barker Day's last year.
