All 3 Williams Lake Indoor Rodeo Performances Sold Out

There wasn’t an empty seat to be found over the weekend at the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex in Williams Lake.

President of the Interior Rodeo Event Association Richard Kholen said the Inaugural Spring Classic indoor rodeo was a huge success.

“Everyone loved it, there was a lot of positive feedback. I think what it was is that a lot of people haven’t been out for quite a while and hadn’t seen the indoor rodeo in a few years and that was a big part of it. And our partnership with Williams Lake First Nation with our opening ceremonies was a great success.”

Not only were all 3 rodeo performances sold out, but so was the barn dance on Saturday night.

Kholen noted it was nice to see the number of young rodeo fans that came out over the weekend and that the Association is already thinking of doing something for them like having a teen dance next year and making it more of a family event.
