Moose Valley Fire Area’s Evacuation Alert has been lifted by the Cariboo Regional District Emergency Operations Centre.
The alert was originally issued for the area on July 26th, at 2:45pm.
They said an Evacuation Alert or Order may need to be reissued, and if it’s deemed necessary, the process will re-commence, and residents need to be prepared if it happens on short notice.
Those returning are asked to stay out of fire affected areas and obey all warnings and hazard signs to ensure public safety, and residents should be aware of rural properties impacted by wildfire, as there may be danger trees in the area.
Poor air quality may remain as a result of smoke from nearby fire activity, and those with respiratory issues, small children, and the elderly should consider this before they choose to return.
More information about the Evacuation Alert can be found on the Cariboo Regional District’s website here.
