Annual crash to pass doesn’t disappoint during Billy Barker Days in Quesnel

Tanner Thayer was this year’s winner of the crash to pass at the Goldpan Speedway in Quensel last night to kick off Billy Barker Days.
Thayer, driving an orange truck with the paint scheme of the General Lee from the Dukes of Hazzard and sporting the number 01, was the last vehicle running.
“This is my first time winning.   This is the 4th year I’ve raced.  I raced the limo for two years and then I built this last year.  It’s so much fun.  The excitement is awesome.”

Besides winning the race, Thayer and Flint Gordon, shared the crowd-pleaser award.
There is more racing coming up tomorrow (Saturday) night at the Goldpan Speedway.
The WESCAR stock car racing series will be in town.
Time trials are at 5 with racing to follow at 6.
