BC Hydro Plans Power Outages for Fox Mountain Area

BC Hydro will be conducting planned power outages in the Fox Mountain Area of Williams Lake from February 1st and into the summer.

Community Relations Dave Mosure, says the planned outages are to help them relocate some of their infrastructure and make system improvements.

“It’s part of the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure traffic flow improvement work that they’re doing on the hill up by the car dealerships and the Fox Mountain area to ease business access and traffic flow in the area.”

Mosure says Monday’s outage will be postponed if temperatures are expected to dip below minus five degrees Celsius.

It’s expected to run from 9 am until 3 pm and will affect residents on Toop Rd, Curtis Pl, and Sunset Drive Williams Lake, as well as east from these roads.
