It has been a mixed bag for the real estate market in the Cariboo during the first 6 months of 2024.
The BC Northern Real Estate Board says sales were up in Williams Lake, although prices were up only slightly.
There were 75 sales through June 30th of this year, up from 59, but the average selling price of a residential detached home was $492,978, up from $470,571 at the same time last year.
100 Mile House saw a slight decline in sales, 59 compared to 62 through June of 2023, but the average selling price shot up to more than 542 thousand dollars ($542,383), up from just $479,419.
The real estate market in Quesnel saw both fewer sales, 54 from 63, and a drop in prices.
The average selling price in Quesnel through last month was $386,405, down from $395,719 at the same time last year.
