Realignment of Kersley-Dale Landing Road gets green light

The provincial government will proceed with the realignment of Kersley-Dale Landing Road south of Quesnel.
The road was closed back in 2020 due to landslides that caused unstable slopes.
The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure says the realignment is part of the Cariboo Road Recovery Project program.
The new alignment will use Arnoldus Road, bypassing the landslide-prone areas, to provide a safe connection to Highway 97 for the community of Kersley.
The ministry plans to tender the project in the spring and construction is expected to begin this fall.
