It’s all hands on deck at the 100 Mile House Food Bank as they prepare for their busiest day of the year.
Food Bank President Danny Williams said they usually give out 140 to 150 Christmas Hampers but this year is looking more like 200.
He noted that on distribution day, December 19th, he expects to have 20 to 25 volunteers coming in to help out.
“We’re very busy right now as we have a lot of donations coming in. We’ll be closed on Tuesday the 18th to prep for the big day. We’ve really had a big increase for the need of our service here at the Food Bank, probably about twenty percent more since last year.”
Williams said thanks to the generosity of so many businesses, organizations, and individuals in the South Cariboo, those who will be receiving one this year will be getting a nice hamper for Christmas.
