Operation Rednose Back On The Road Starting November 24th

Operation Rednose in Williams Lake is revving up for another holiday season to get you and your vehicle home safely.

“We start officially on November 24, not very far from now, Coordinator Debra Pickering said, “We go every Friday and Saturday night for four weekends up until December 16 and then we do New Years Eve so nine nights all together.”

Pickering said a lot of Lakecity residents are excited to have this program back again this season, saying they want to use their services, which means people are already thinking about it even before it’s up and running.

Last year Operation Rednose gave 284 safe rides home and is hosted by Williams Lake Community Policing.

I was pretty happy with how it went considering that everybody in town, organizations, and companies are still coming out of the post-COVID regulations and so on and how they dealt with, first, not being allowed to get together and then when they were how they would accommodate employees after a party,” Pickering said.

Something going on in the Cariboo you think people should know about?
