UPDATE: Highway re-opened (updated at 1:25 p.m.)
ORIGINAL STORY: 11:32 a.m.
RCMP responded an accident on Highway 97, 22 kilometres north of 100 Mile House at around 6-45 this (Thursday) morning.
The collision, according to DriveBC, was between Emerald Cresent and Felker Street.
Police say the accident involved a logging truck and a passenger vehicle, and that the logging truck caught on fire.
The Lac La Hache Fire Department was also on scene.
RCMP say one person was taken to hospital, although their injuries are not believed to be serious.
That portion of the highway is down to single lane alternating traffic.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation, although RCMP say road conditions were poor at the time.
