Tis the season to avoid becoming a victim of the Grinch.
Williams Lake RCMP Constable Andrew Waters has this tip for motorists when they are out shopping for their Christmas gifts.
“At this time of year its paramount that residents be reminded not to leave things in their car. A lot of folks tend to think of their vehicle as a storage locker. They go out shopping and throw their gifts in the vehicle. We encourage residents to use and lock the trunk.”
Another tip Waters has for people who are going to be away from their homes over the holidays is to advise your neighbours that you are going to be gone and if you can to leave your lights on using sporadic timers.
