A Quesnel boxer was a gold medal winner in Mexico over the weekend.
Brityn “Hurricane” Carter defeated a couple of opponents to win a tournament in San Miquel Deallende.
Carter won a decision over Maria Ruiz from Mexico on Friday night, and then won in a decision over America Sanchez from San Francisco on Saturday night.
Next up for Carter will be the Canada Winter Games in Prince Edward Island in early March.
