Stage set for Quesnel RCMP’s Stuff a Cruiser Campaign

The Quesnel RCMP’s annual Stuff A Cruiser Campaign to support local families in need over the Christmas holidays is just around the corner.

Sergeant Clay Kronebusch goes over a few of the details.

“It’s going to be on December 3rd and 4th between the hours of 10 am and 2 pm.  This year we’re going to be doing up at the Walmart Parking lot at 890 Rita Road.”

Kronebusch says the goal is fill a cruiser with donations.

“We’re accepting any donations of non-perishable food, unopened toys for children between the ages of 6 and 12, winter clothing, hygiene products, and stuff like that. The items received will be provided to the local Salvation Army, Senior’s Voice Society, and Big Brothers and Bid Sisters to help out families in need.”

Kronebusch says people can still help out, even if they can’t make it on those days.

“They are more than welcome to drop stuff off at the Quesnel RCMP Detachment Monday to Friday during business hours 8 am to 4 pm.”

Last year’s event was a huge success with 1,071 pounds of food donated, along with 671 individual toys, $445 in gift cards, and $3,819.80 in cash.
