Registration is open for the Quesnel Ambassador Leadership Program

The Quesnel Ambassador Leadership Program is looking for candidates for 2023.

Society member Cara Nault says they had an information session at Correlieu Secondary School earlier this month.

She says the program has a lot to offer.

“We offer school credits (two towards graduation), self discovery, new friendships, leadership skills, public speaking skills, volunteering in the community, meeting with Quesnel dignitaries, and over 25 different events and workshops.”

Nault says the workshops are geared towards life skills.

“We’ve had financial classes, they do car maintenance, they do knowledge exams, they meet with the museum, they go and greet the Rocky Mountaineer, they do all sorts of different events and workshops to teach them all about our town and our community.”

She says girls and boys between the ages of 15 and 17 are welcome.

Those interested can go to their Facebook or Instagram page, or contact herself or Rose Scott.

Nault says the program starts up in January.

Jada Crossman and Navaeh Keuber are the current Quesnel Ambassadors.
