A 16-day shutdown at Cariboo Pulp and Paper in Quesnel will begin tomorrow. (Saturday)
Around 160 employees will be impacted.
West Fraser announced the shut down late last month due to a lack of wood chips.
The company says timber supply and acces has become an increasing challenge in B.C.
It says infestation, wildfire, forest policy decisions and other considerations have resulted in fewer logs being processed in Interior sawmills, and therefore fewer wood chips and pulp logs are available as feedstock to pulp mills.
