A Halloween Festival will be Taking Place in Williams Lake

This Saturday (October 29th), people in Williams Lake can begin their Halloween celebrations with a festival.

The Halloween Festival, which is being put on by The Realm of Toys and Nerd Room, was held off for three years due to covid, but they’re relieved that its finally happening.

“We have been trying to build up to this. We’ve planned the Downtown Trick or Treat, I think we did that for five years and it kept getting bigger and bigger.” says Jazmyn Lyons, Organizer for the Festival.

“We thought, ok we want to do a festival. It’s exploded so much, lets turn this into a whole thing.”

While the Halloween Festival is new for Williams Lake, residents won’t have to worry about the Downtown Trick or Treat.

That event will still be happening, only difference is that it will be taking place on Halloween and the event will be shorter than previous years. This is due to feedback saying it was too much.

The Halloween Festival will run from 4pm-12am at and around Kiwanis Park, with Downtown Trick or Treat from 3pm-6pm.

To stay up to date with the Halloween Festival, you can keep an eye on the Realm of Toys and Nerd Room Facebook page here.
