The City of Williams Lake will now be accepting applications for the November 2022 intake of the semiannual event hosting grant.
The grant is to assist local, non-profit organizations with their multi-day events, which would draw in participants from outside the community.
The previous time the City took in applications for event hosting grants was back in May.
“It went really well. We had several applications we were able to fill, and we were able to distribute the $2,500 that we give out twice a year for the grant.” says Greg Sabatino, Events and Marketing Coordinator for the City of Williams Lake.
Sabatino added that with covid dying down, people are looking for ways to make the events happen.
The goal for this grant is to attract new events, grow existing events, and bring new opportunities to the city.
Applications can no longer be handed in after November 30.
