A man, charged following an investigation by the Conservation Officer Service in 100 Mile House, has been sentenced in provincial court.
Deqiang Liang pleaded guilty with hunting and killing wildfire out of season and possession of a loaded firearm in a vehicle.
Liang, who is from the Lower Mainland, was fined 25-hundred dollars, is prohibited from hunting for one year, and also had to forfeit all wildlife and two firearms.
Charges against a second suspect were stayed.
The charges are in connection with an incident north of Canim Lake in June of 2021.
