Suspect in Williams Lake murder case pleads guilty to manslaughter

One of the accused in a Williams Lake murder case has pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.

24-year old Daine Stump pleaded guilty to manslaughter at the start of his first degree murder trial in Supreme Court in Kamloops.

He’s due back in court on October 18th for sentencing.

Meanwhile, a decision is expected later this week for 32-year old Wyatt Boffa, who’s first degree murder trial wrapped up last week.

Madame Justice Alison Beames is scheduled to make a decision on Thursday. (Sept 29)

The charges against both men were in connection with a suspicious death in the Deep Creek area in December of 2018.

Williams Lake RCMP were called to a residence on Mountain House Road where they discovered the body of 43-year old Jamie Sellars Baldwin.
