CNC Makes Top 50 List

CNC has been named one of the top 50 research colleges in Canada.

Director of Applied Research, Hardy Griesbauer says it’s due to the growth and success of his department.

“The whole idea here is we want to link the innovation and research needs with our regional businesses and communities and we want to link that with the educational programming at the college.”

Griesbauer adds the program has been a win-win for the students and local businesses.

“We provide opportunities for local businesses and partners to work with the college in an applied research project and we include our faculty and staff to those projects.”

Many of the CNC’s projects center around forest but also include power engineering, satellite communications, and culinary arts.

In the mid-size category, they ranked first in informal research and tenth in the number of partnerships.
