Suspect(s) make burgers and fries before stealing cash and vandalizing The Burger Shed

The Burger Shed next to the Canadian Tire in Williams Lake was broken into yesterday morning, with the suspect(s) making themselves a meal before vandalizing the inside of the premises and taking off with cash and food.

RCMP confirm that on Wednesday at 10:41 am, they received a call there was a break and enter.

RCMP say the incident occurred overnight between the hours of 7:15 pm (Tuesday, August 18) and 10:15 am (Wednesday, August 19).

The owner pulled up in front of the business and noticed the front door was unlocked and slightly ajar.

Police say the inside of the building was a mess and the freezer lid was left open and the stove was left on.

Suspect(s) entered the building by breaking the back window.

Once inside the suspect(s) cooked some burgers and fries.  A small amount of cash and food was taken from the premises.

RCMP continue to investigate and encourage anyone with further information to contact them at  250-392-6211.
