The Doug Birks Division final ended with a 4-2 loss for the 100 Mile Wranglers Wednesday night. The Revelstoke Grizzlies swept the series 4-0.
Darian Long opened the scoring in the first period and the Wranglers led 1-0 until the beginning of the third when the Grizzlies tied the game. The Grizzlies moved ahead 2-1, then made it 3-1 on an empty net in the last three minutes. The Wranglers answered with a power play goal by Julien Dewey, but a second empty netter ended the Wrangler season.
Goalie Jakob Gullmes was the star of the game for the Wranglers, stopping a a total of 43 shots.
The Wrangler nation was out full force, with 600 fans at the South Cariboo Recreation Center.
