Barkerville Hosts Timber Kings

The Timber Kings are coming to Barkerville !
The popular TV show will be filming in the historic town on June 9th, 10th and 11th.
Ed Coleman, the CEO of Barkerville, says they will be building a replicate of the Billy Barker mineshaft and shaft house…
“Right now, Pioneer Log Homes have been building components at their Williams Lake site. So they’ll bring that up on a truck and then the assembly will occur here. Before they get here though, we’ll be prepping: digging the hole and setting the concrete base.”
Coleman says the public is more than welcome to come out during the filming.
He says there will be a fenced off safe area and HGTV will be doing some pre-filming and probably some post-filming in addition to filming the actual assembly.
Coleman says they are very excited in Barkerville as he says the show has 400 thousand viewers and 40 thousand Facebook followers.
He says he’s not sure at this point when the show in Barkerville will air but it is his understanding that it will make up a full episode.
