Williams Lake RCMP investigating Fire At Toosey; Collision Involving Pedestrian at Dairy Road

One person is displaced after a fire 40 kilometers southwest of Williams Lake.

RCMP received a call of a stove fire at a trailer next to a house at around 7:30 Wednesday morning at Toosey (Tl’esqox).

The 18-year-old male who was inside at the time is reported to be okay.

The area is without fire protection.

RCMP are also investigating a motor vehicle incident involving a pedestrian.

Staff Sgt. Del Byron said a pedestrian sustained minor injuries after being hit by a vehicle on Dairy Road in Williams Lake after 2:30 Tuesday afternoon.

“The vehicle ran up on the sidewalk,” he said.

“A motor vehicle act charge is anticipated.”
