Williams Lake and Horsefly are two of the more than thirty communities represented in the project from all over North America.

Guy Burdikin, a professional forester based out of the Lake City, figures they should be able to plant three or four thousand trees with their volunteer crew

He explains that the goal of the record attempt is to demonstrate a commitment from the SFI members to sustainable forest management and to the community as a whole.

The attempt started at 10am and will run until 11am with the Williams Lake trees being planted on Beaver Valley Road.
