Quesnel RCMP and Search and Rescue look for overdue hunter

Quesnel RCMP and Search and Rescue are looking for an overdue hunter.

Sgt. Darren Dodge, a Media Relations Officer at the Detachment, says they received a report Wednesday of a male who went out hunting alone in the Swift River Road area off the Barkerville Highway and did not return.

Vance Hartley was driving a blue 2005 Dodge pickup with license plate HP2691.

Dodge says a plane is in the air trying to locate this truck.

Hartley is described as being 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighing approximately 350 pounds.

He was last seen wearing jeans, a faded dark blue T-shirt, a brown pocket style pullover hoody and black skater style shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Quesnel RCMP.
