Annual Trucker’s Appreciation Day Wraps Up

The Cariboo showed off their appreciation for truckers today in Williams Lake.

Bruce Combs, who was involved in organizing the event with Tolko Industries and has been with the trucking industry for 35 years says he felt good about this year’s annual event.

“This is a thing that we do every year and the trucker’s overload fund, I guess that’s what they call, gives $100,000, $200,000, $300,000 on a yearly basis back to the community and so this is how we give back to the truckers.”

“I appreciate it. I’m one of the truckers and this is how we get out our safety information.”

Truckers Appreciation Day which has been held for more than 15 years, wrapped up at the Williams Lake Curling Club this afternoon.
