Leader of Official Opposition in Williams Lake to discuss provincial budget

The leader of the official opposition will be in Williams Lake this evening to discuss the 2015 provincial budget.

John Horgan says he will be talking to Cariboo residents and families to find out where they need a break.

“When you see the 28% increase in hydro rates over the next number of years, that’s not friendly for families.”

“Families pay the same rate for medical services premiums as millionaires do. So if you make a millionaire dollars, your MSP premiums are the exact same price as a regular family working hard every day to make ends meet.”

“I think that’s wrong as well.”

Horgan will be giving a brief presentation, along with NDP Finance spokesperson Carole James.

The discussion gets underway at the Central Cariboo Arts Centre starting at 7.
